IMAX is lucky to have a rep force full of energetic and interesting people. It’s true! Each rep has their own story to tell of what makes them who they are. To help you get to know our sales team a little better, we decided to feature a rep each month right here on our blog.
We would like to introduce you to Brad Belcher, our December rep of the month!
We’ve asked Brad a few questions, and posted his answers below. After you get to know him, if you like Brad as much as we do (and we know you will), be sure to say “hi” in the comments section below the post.
How long have you worked with your sales group?
I have worked with the Blend Sales Group for 5 years.

It really works for my customers and they come back for more.
Complete the following statement: I got into repping because…
I was a senior in college and an Economics major trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I graduated. I saw all my roommates putting on suits and working on resumes for interviews, going to work with my father’s repping business seemed like a good way to avoid doing those things.
What do you like most about your job?
Working with my father and brother in our rep group as well as enjoying all the great relationships that I have created over the years. Also, setting my own schedule.
What do you like least about your job?
Driving in the snow.
What is your favorite stress releaser? i.e. At the end of a long road trip, long day, long market or tough sales month?
Two things. One is to get outside, whether it is golfing, fishing, hunting or just walking. The second is to have some good red wine and listen to music.
You travel on the road and to markets – what is your favorite travel tip that you would like to share?
If I am traveling by car and have an extended stay I usually try to bring my pillow from home.
Fill in the blanks: When I go to market I always, eat and drink, but I never sleep. I wish I could sleep well at market.
What are some of your best retailers doing to be successful?
Not standing still. They are experimenting with new products, new creative advertising to reach new consumers, updating their stores, and doing more in store training to educate and retain their staff.
What are retailers in your area asking for?
Unique individual items that can’t be found at any other vendors. They want to be able to set their displays apart from the competition.
What is the funniest or most interesting thing a customer has ever said to you?
Will you go out with my daughter. Never happened.
If you could have any position, career or job, what would it be?
Pro golfer. Always in great locations around the world.
Name something on your bucket list.
I do not have a bucket list. I just what to remain thankful, stay happy and travel a lot more when I can.
Tell us about your children/family/pets.
I have been blessed with a great family. Married to my wife Mara for 22 years. I have daughter Maggie 17, son Ben 15, and son Jack 12. Our family companion is Griffen, an 8 year old Wheaton Terrier. Trying to embrace it all as it’s racing by.
