For the summer market cycle, IMAX is introducing three collections designed to appeal to your customers and address the hottest new trends.
The collections combine new product and new colors with existing product to help you balance your store’s needs for the newest and most popular items.
There’s a touch of romance and sophistication in all three trends, designed to boost sales and spirits in challenging times. And there is the commitment from IMAX to present new product that works with existing product so you can integrate your stock easily.
Each of the trends – Regal Splendor, Midnight Garden and Coquette – stands alone, but complements the entire IMAX product line.
Regal Splendor Appeals to Men, Too
This trend offers a sophisticated take on traditional lodge, perfect for men and women who prefer a tailored look in their homes. The look also works well in markets where second homes are popular and plays well against natural settings.
The colors in Regal Splendor are rich and cozy. The grouping features several designs by Carolyn Kinder, who is debuting her collections at IMAX this summer. Designer Vasquez brings the look to life against a forest green wall accented with a warm red and navy flannel. Faux wood wallpaper enhances the look and a piece of moose-patterned fabric purchased at a local craft store substitutes for carpet in the vignette.
“What we want to do is create a feeling so the customer can envision our merchandise as a complete story,” Melissa says. “We try to help the retailer see our products in a fresh light and hopefully help them interpret our product in their own stores.”
Regal splendor is built around key pieces, including a new Moose mirror with a stylized animal motif marching around the border. The antler and tree branch lamp gives an organic feeling to the setting as well as providing warmth. A three-dimensional layered bronze table with a wood top anchors the vignette. Completing the look are several bronzed pieces including a planter and matching magazine holder, which add another level of sophistication to the vignette.
Midnight Garden Stars Carolyn Kinder Designs
Drama is the key word in the romantic Midnight Garden vignette. Promises of Gothic beauty and exotic mystery wrap themselves in this elegant setting. Hints of old New Orleans and art nouveau help define the feeling.
The ambiance of the vignette is rich, dark and gleaming, Built around exclusive designs by Carolyn Kinder, the look is both romantic and mysterious.
Baroque designs and the sheen of hammered metals and shiny metallics combine with gold leaf to build the illusion of a romantic moonlit midnight garden. Layered wallpaper, crushed velvet and amber glass add color and dimension to the mix.
The perfect finishing touch is the addition of exotic feathers and dried eucalyptus, mixed with orchid blossoms and the shapes of natural branches. All in all, the surreal look of Midnight Gardens will make your senses tingle.
“Drama and excitement are important in designing a vignette,” Melissa Vasquez says. “I think the customer wants to feel something special when she looks at a product display. Midnight Garden plays to the romance and exotic mystery we all love.”
Fall in Love With the Flirty Coquette
A touch of romance infuses the flirtatious look of Coquette, one of the new summer market looks from IMAX.
Taking a cue from last season’s softer lilacs and pale purples, deep eggplant purple emerges as a richer and warmer hue that will be an easier transition into warmer colors. Nature-inspired hues of grape, eggplant, plum and amethyst provide a stunning backdrop for our new amber and gold Italian glass.
To create the vignette, IMAX designer Melissa Vasquez chose the new Italian products exclusive to IMAX because of the unique combination of textures, colors and metallic particles that are in the glass itself. The elegant shapes are traditional in inspiration and put a new twist on our existing product offering.
Using the new items to anchor the vignette, Melissa also included some existing product to bring the fresh look together. “We are carrying the trend forward with soft warm European grays dramatically set off by the deep aubergine/ eggplant back drop, as well as a more traditional and feminine styling to the design of the products,” Melissa said. A European influence is seen throughout the designs, which feature soft whites, glass, and gray-washed furniture, powdery finishes contrast with smooth elegant surfaces.
