“Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave…” One hundred and fifty voices sang together in tearful harmony as volunteers finished out their day last Friday.
On May 19th, as part of the annual ART + IDS Annual Conference, attendees participated in the Grand Veterans Village Community Project. Companies throughout the industry, including IMAX, donated over 1000 SKUs to help refurbish this two-story former hotel, which provides shelter for homeless, low income and disabled veterans.
“It was a very moving event,” stated Susan Andrulis, Director of Small Business Group for IMAX and ARTS President. “To see so many professionals from our industry come together to help the community was truly inspiring.”
US Vets was founded in 1992 in Los Angeles to meet the needs of their homeless veteran population and the Phoenix Chapter was founded in 2003.
